Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth Made Their First Red Carpet Appearance Together Since 2013 at 'Thor: Ragnarok' Premiere

While everyone was in high spirits for the world premiere of Thor: Ragnarok, many couldn't help but gush over the sighting of Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth. The couple, who value their privacy, were on hand at the Hollywood premiere for the highly anticipated third installment of the Thor franchise, led by Liam's brother, Chris Hemsworth.

While the beautiful pairing last attended a public event back in October of 2016 at Variety's Power of Women gathering, it had been awhile since they attended a film premiere together. The appearance for the on-again-off-again-back-on-again couple was a surprise for many as they last attended a red carpet film premiere together in 2013 for the #LiamHemsworth thriller Paranoia:

After breaking up a few days following the Paranoia premiere, the couple got back together in 2016 and have been inseparable ever since, posting various adorable selfies on Instagram and teasing the hearts of legions of The Last Song fans.

The #ThorRagnarok premiere was certainly a family event with Chris's wife of seven years, Elsa Pataky, in attendance along with third Hemsworth brother, Luke (of #Westworld fame) and his wife, Samantha, as well as the Hemsworth parents.

Neither Liam or #MileyCyrus spoke with the press. However, while Chris was being interviewed by E! News, he was asked how it felt to have his youngest brother and (future?) sister-in-law coming out to show their support:

"It's nice to have them together... They are busy, and any time they can get together is nice."

Miley Once Said She Was Through With Red Carpets

During an interview for ELLE in 2016, Cyrus revealed she would never be attending another red carpet after experiencing an epiphany at the premiere for a Bill Murray movie:

“[A year ago] I had to do the [A Very Murray Christmas] premiere, and I will never do a red carpet again. Why, when people are starving, am I on a carpet that's red? Because I'm 'important'? Because I'm 'famous'? That's not how I roll. It's like a skit—it's like Zoolander.”

While red carpets are a bit difficult to avoid given the public figure she is and how those appearances are a huge part of the job, it is definitely admirable that Cyrus is thinking beyond the small, celebrity bubble that exists within many Hollywood stars. As long as she's happy with whatever appearances she wants to attend and continues to post anything related to the gorgeous Hemsworth brother, I say all the more power to her.
