My Top Three Funniest Horror Movies

If your sense of humor is anything like mine, you'll *die* laughing at these movies.

Horror movies have always had a special place in my heart. One of the first movies I remember being my favourite is Dawn of the Dead (the one that came out in 2004). But sometimes you just wanna avoid nightmares, and that's where comedic relief comes in! Comedy is a great way to relieve stress and help avoid sweat-soaked sheets from those hectic nightmares (I can't make any promises). That is why today I am going to be talking about my top three favorite comedic horror movies! If you haven't seen any of these flicks I highly recommend it. My goal here is to tell you a little about them without giving too much of their story away. After all, no one likes spoilers!

#3- Warm Bodies (2013)

At the bottom of the top three list is Warm Bodies, a movie filmed in 2013. Directed by Jonathan Levine, this movie is based off of a book (which I did not know!) by Isaac Marion. Filmed in Montreal, Canada, this movie is a great flick. To describe it in the vaguest of terms... A zombie romance of sorts. Our main character, a zombie named R (played by Nicholas Hoult) falls for a human girl (played by Teresa Palmer) after unknowingly killing her boyfriend... Pretty crazy right? He starts to fall in love with her, but how could a zombie and a human have a life together? Full of suspense, action and of course comedy this movie is perfect to watch on a rainy day snuggled up on the couch with some popcorn.

#2- Zombieland (2009)

Second on the list is Zombieland. Filmed in 2009 and directed by Ruben Fleischer, this hilarious zombie flick will be something you can watch again and again (fairly minimal gore considering it's a zombie movie). Our main character, anxiety-filled Columbus (given his nickname based on his hometown), accidentally encounters slightly crazy Tallahassee (do you see the pattern with the nicknames?) and the two guys decide to stay together and travel for a while. Eventually bumping into Little Rock (played by Abigail Breslin) and Wichita (Emma Stone), the girls aren't as innocent as they appear. Zombies, robberies, love, and awkwardness make this movie a great way to unwind and have a laugh. And it's probably the only zombie flick you can watch at night without having a nightmare.

#1- Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil (2010)

Lastly, directed by Eli Craig in 2010, this movie is sure to make you laugh your head off (warning: it has some pretty intense gore in a few parts). Longtime friends Dale ( Tyler Labine) and Tucker (Alan Tudyk) are traveling up to the new cabin that they split the price on, when spotted by a group of stereotypical college students on break. The students look at the pair, and are creeped out by their rough exterior so much that they rush away from the gas station in which they crossed paths. Confused, Dale and Tucker head to their new relaxation pad, unaware that the college students will soon be crossing their path again. Being mistaken for axe-murderers makes Tuck and Dale's vacation go... A little off plan, to say the least. This has got to be one of my all time favorite movies, and I highly recommend you watch it!
