While making the promotional rounds for his latest film, The Hitman's Bodyguard, star Samuel L. Jackson appeared on The Late Late Show With James Corden. As part of his appearance, Jackson took the stage against Corden for a new "Drop the Mic" segment, which has become well-known for Corden rap-battling his guests. The segment with Jackson doesn't fail to deliver the goodness and honestly, it's a must-see if you love Jackson.

He may be known for his extremely serious performances, but Jackson's also got a humorous side that a lot of people fail to give him credit for. That fact wasn't lost on the audience in attendance of his performance last night. Check out the video below and see for yourself:

As you can see, Jackson can roll with the punches. Corden threw some low blows at the actor, including a red-hot insult about his career and subsequently pointing out how a lot of Jackson's films would up end up being straight-up DVD releases. Deep cut insults aside, Jackson took them in stride and held in there. He even caught Corden off-guard with some unexpected retorts of his own, which the audience wildly ate up.

Hopefully, Corden will consider this experience to be a lesson because he definitely needs to work on his rapping skills if he doesn't want to continue to get roasted on his own late night show. Of course, the game is all done in the name of fun, so I'm sure Corden doesn't mind too much, especially when it's a great actor like Jackson roasting him.
