Myth busted! We already know that Quentin Tarantino has his shared Tarantinoverse, but now there is an altogether more "family-friendly" way to connect your favorite films. It is a rumor that has circulated since Woody stepped out of the toybox, but now #Disney has confirmed that those #Pixar Easter Eggs that we all look out for are more than just subtle nods to the studio's eclectic history. Posted to the #ToyStory Facebook, a 2.5 minute video links every Pixar film into a shared universe. If you thought it would be impossible to link Remy the Rat to Dug the Dog, you'd be wrong!

From the primordial ooze of The Good Dinosaur, all the way to the far reaches of the galaxy with Wall-E, Pixar films are one big happy family. It follows on from a video that the studio released a few years ago, showing how their Luxo ball has snuck into several of the films. For years, fans have already picked up on the ball, the reappearing Pizza Planet Truck, and references to A113 (the classroom where the Pixar artists learned their craft). However, the latest video goes into much greater detail, pointing out exactly where to look to see how your favorite films are connected.

There are other obvious ones likes Nemo in Monsters, Inc. or Sully in Brave, but here are some of the five best other Pixar connections out there:

1. 'Finding Dory' And 'Inside Out'

Alongside Dory's disastrous aquarium incarceration, did anyone spot Inside Out's emotional Riley along for the school trip? Nope, me neither!

2. 'Cars' And 'Toy Story 3'

Plucky speedster Lightning McQueen doesn't look like such a hot rod as a blocky toy in Sunnyside Daycare in Toy Story 3 — I don't think he'll be zooming off anytime soon.

3. 'Toy Story 3' And 'Up'

Even sourpuss Lots-O'-Huggin Bear seems to find someone to love him, popping up in the background of a little girl's bedroom in feel-good film Up.

4. 'Ratatouille' And 'Cars 2'

I love a good pun here at Movie Pilot, and having the infamous French restaurant Gusteau's parodied in the world of Cars is c'est magnifique. I'll have the oil change soup please.

5. 'Monsters, Inc.' And 'Toy Story 2'

The heart-wrenching tragedy of Jesse the Cowgirl made Toy Story 2 a "reach for the tissues affair," but at least she was at one time loved by Monsters, Inc.'s playful Boo.

We also see a kid in the dentist's waiting room of Finding Nemo reading a comic about Mr. Incredible, and the dastardly Skinner's scooter from Ratatouille ending up on the scrapheap during Wall-E.

It is amazing to see how far ahead the animators look, so who knows what is hiding in Pixar's future, and a slate that takes us all the way up to Toy Story 4 in 2019. Their next outing is Coco, based on the Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos, which will be released on November 22. Maybe it will connect to the Tijuana bar scene from A Bug's Life, or perhaps Remy swaps cooking escargot for enchiladas.
