Blue Jasmine, The Devil Wears Prada, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri,  The Call, The Shawshank Redemption, The Help, Sophie's Choice, August: Osage County, Contact

15. 'Sophie's Choice' (1982)

Meryl Streep is my favorite actress and she, obviously, occupies three spots on this list. Sophie's Choice is a very intimate movie, where Meryl Streep once again proves her incredible talent. Sophie's Choice is about Polish immigrant who shares a boarding house in Brooklyn with her emotionally unstable lover, Nathan (Kevin Kline) and a young writer, Stingo (Peter MacNicol).

14. 'The Girl In the Fog' (2017)

This incredible Italian crime-thriller is based on the novel by Donato Carrisi. The creepy atmosphere of the city in the middle of the Alps and the mysterious disappearance of a young woman are already enough to give you a proper thriller vibe. You change your suspects every five minutes and can't help asking yourself: who did it? Also, Jean Reno is a guest star of the movie and he doesn't disappoint.

13. 'The Devil Wears Prada' (2006)

Crazy good cast ensemble—Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci. The iconic comedy that stole our hearts. Andrea Sachts (Anne) represents all ambitious college graduates who are just ready to rule the world, change their lives, and follow their goals and dreams—but then comes life—Miranda Priestly to be precise. How low can you go to make it? And how long can you fake it before you make it? That's all.

12. 'Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri' (2017)

Marvelous Frances McDormand plays a mother (Mildred Hayes) who's seeking justice for her murdered daughter. With no arrests after seven months, Mildred is done with authorities and puts up three roadside signs to goad Ebbing police chief into action. There is a very thin line between mixing such serious drama and comedy moments. It can either work completely, or not at all. In Three Billboards, it just worked. My absolute favorite scene, with Mildred's ex-husband, would make me want to cry and laugh at the same time and it's because of the incredible acting of Frances McDormand.

11. 'The Call' (2013)

I feel like The Call is one of the most underrated thrillers. Just the fact that I had to introduce it to so many of my friends that have never heard about it before. Maybe that's why I've seen it like 10 times. An operator for an emergency call-center, Jordan (Halle Berry) faces the most challenging call of her career from a kidnapped girl (Abigail Breslin). I love when the thriller is very suspenseful and this one is like that, even when you watch it for the 10th time.

10. 'No Reservations' (2007)

The vibe of this movie gets me every single time. The successful restaurant chef (Catherine Zeta-Jones) is unexpectedly becoming the guardian of her young niece (Abigail Breslin). Breslin, back in 2007, to me was the best child actor in the industry especially for her roles in Little Miss Sunshine and No Reservations. With supporting roles of Aaron Eckhart and Patricia Clarkson, the cast is a recipe for success.

9. 'Ratatouille' (2007)

If I had to pick one Disney movie for this list, it would be Ratatouille hands down. The incredible music Michael Giacchino and the story itself are promising a huge treat. The story about a rat dreaming about becoming a chef is universal to so many life stories we deal with every day as humans. This movie just gives you joy—if you want it or not.

8. 'Bridesmaids' (2011)

If I could add one more Paul Feig's movie to this list, it would be Spy, but let's focus on Bridesmaids. Absolutely iconic comedy. With comedy icons such as Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, and Ellie Kemper, the movie is just so good. The lines work so well. Airplane scene or dress fitting scene, it's just pure gold and always worth rewatching.

7. 'The Shawshank Redemption' (1994)

Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman are playing two imprisoned men who bond over a number of years, finding solace and eventual redemption through acts of common decency. From a very sad and truthful story of Brooks (James Whitmore) to the uplifting ending you find yourself watching one of the best movies you'll probably ever see.

6. 'August: Osage County' (2013)

Again, I have to admit that this is one of the most underrated movies. Absolutely incredible cast of Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Juliette Lewis, and Benedict Cumberbatch... The death and the funeral of their father bring three sisters to the home of their mother, Violet (Meryl Streep). The movie is worth watching for so many reasons but mainly because of the acting. The catfish scene is one of the best scenes ever shot.

5. 'The Help' (2011)

Warms my heart every time. This based in 1960s Mississippi drama focuses on Skeeter (Emma Stone), who returns from college with dreams of being a writer. She chooses to interview the black women who have spent their lives taking care of prominent white families. Marvelous acting by Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer (best-supporting-actress winner at the 2012 Academy Awards). This movie is about finding courage during our weakest moments and embracing the love to personalities—not looks.

4. 'The Silence of the Lambs' (1991)

Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins) is a brilliant psychiatrist who is also a violent psychopath, serving life behind bars for various acts of murder and cannibalism. Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster) is a top student at the FBI's training academy. She's facing a huge new career opportunity when she's asked to interview Lecter in person, but it's nothing like she imagined it to be... This movie is a classic when it comes to thrillers and it's so, so, so good.

3. 'Contact' (1997)

Dr. Ellie Arroway (Jodie Foster) races to interpret a possible message originating from the Vega star system. To me, one of the best movies ever made—but again, so underrated. Beautiful cinematography. You can basically just feel the energy of this movie. One of the best Jodie Foster's roles, with supporting roles of Matthew McConaughey and William Fichtner. The movie explores subjects such as longing, the mystery of the universe, and pure love.

2. 'Prisoners' (2013)

My favorite thriller. Keller Dover (Hugh Jackman) faces a nightmare when hiss six-year-old daughter, Anna and her friend go missing. The only lead is an old motorhome that had been parked on their street. The head of the investigation, Detective Loki (Jake Gyllenhaal), arrests the driver (Paul Dano), but because of the lack of evidence Loki has to release his only suspect. Dover, knowing that his daughter is in danger, decides to take the matters into his own hands. The best roles of both Jake Gyllenhaal and Paul Dano. The creepy vibe of Pennsylvania, the mystery of the case, and the music make this movie one of the best thrillers ever made. It is also directed by the incredible Denis Villeneuve.

1. 'Blue Jasmine' (2013)

After Jasmine's (Cate Blanchett) marriage to a wealthy businessman (Alec Baldwin) collapses, the New York socialite flees to San Francisco and the modest apartment of her sister, Ginger (Sally Hawkins). Cate Blanchett absolutely proved with this role that she is one of the best actresses in the world. The way she shows her emotions and feelings is just amazing. The contrast between Jasmine's and Ginger's characters works perfectly. The thought process before every single line that Cate Blanchett is saying says it all. I adore this movie and I'm about to watch it again very soon!
