"Veronica Mars, not your average high school student" - Me? I think.
I avoided Veronica Mars for a while because I thought it was about some high school kid with super powers. BOY WAS I SO WRONG. To this day it is one of my favorite pilots ever. There's SO much exposition in there yet you don't feel lost in anything that's going on. The mysteries from little to big through out that first season are truly edge of your seat. While this is a high school show, this is no high school show.
The second season is good. Not as strong as the first season, but some solid episodes with "Whaaaaaaat?!" moments.
Season three was... rough. It was rough. Lots of unnecessary campus rapes and random head shavings. But it did introduce Piz who is one of my favorite characters (Granted... that is HEAVILY argued by many marshmallows out there) They also didn't know they were getting cancelled so the last episode is a little... anti-climactic.
Then the film came out and redeemed everything in my eyes. Gaby Hoffman was a HUGE help with that, as was Kristen Ritter. And all the hot men... there were so many hot guys in that movie and they were all on screen together in the reunion scene at the restaurant. (Shout out to Dax for his incredible cameo) It was so solid. And I can't wait for the new season! Anyone who is a Veronica Mars fan can't wait for the new season, because we know (Based on the film) that they learned so much about what they could be and I can't wait to see them apply that knowledge.
You can't help but adore Kristen Bell on this show, not just because other characters are constantly telling you to. She has the "it" factor and this is a perfect part for. Most of the supporting cast is excellent and I believe her relationships with these people because she is a fine actress. No better daddy/daughter duo than Keith and Veronica.
So this scene would show up at the beginning of Season Two.
**SPOILER ALERT**
Veronica and Logan end up together at the end of the first season, but he's not quite ready to grow up to his full potential. Duncan, having just learned that Veronica is NOT his biological sister, has been making some gestures to show her that he wants her back, despite the disdain of his ex girlfriend Meg.
INT. NEPTUNE HIGH: JOURNALISM CLASS
Veronica is writing and article and Logan saddles up beside her.
LOGANI'm hearing some things.
VERONICAYou should get that checked out.
LOGANI'm hearing things that I don't like.
VERONICAOkay Paulie, but we're bein' bugged so we gotta watch out for Louie and the Twins...
LOGANDon't joke. I'm serious.
The Bell rings and students begin packing up. Veronica starts but decides to stay and listen to her panicked boyfriend.
VERONICAWhat's up, Logan?
LOGANHas Duncan been coming by the cafe every day?
VERONICA(Slightly guilty)I hadn't noticed.
LOGANPlease.
VERONICAI've seen him from time to time, yes.
LOGANHe wants you back, Veronica.
VERONICA(laughs)What?
LOGANDon't laugh. I'm not an idiot, okay? I know what Duncan's trying to do!
Duncan appears in the door way as a few other students walk into the class.
DUNCANWhat is Duncan trying to do?
Logan and Veronica turn their heads towards Duncan in the doorway. Duncan doesn't take his fierce stare off of Logan.
DUNCANSorry, did I interrupt something.
LOGANYou did, yeah. You are but you knew that though.
Veronica looks back and forth between the two and rolls her eyes.
VERONICAActually, I think I'm the one interrupting. Pardon me.
Veronica slinks past Duncan and makes her way out of the room. Logan and Duncan don't break eye contact.
