It looks like Violet Beane's character of Jesse Wells is going down the same path as her comic-book counterpart.

It's confirmed, Violet Beane's character of Jesse Wells is going down the same path as her comic-book counterpart by becoming the speedster Jesse Quick in the next episode of The Flash, "Magenta." However, Beane might not be suiting up just yet, according to her comments in an interview with EW.

In one of the promo shots, we can see that Harry and Jesse are sitting in STAR Labs by a box with something awfully familiar peeking out, a speedster suit. Beane gave these comments to Entertainment Weekly in regards to what's in the box.

"Everyone’s like, 'What’s in the box?!' You can kind of see a little bit of something, so I definitely think it’s going to happen in episode 4. It’s going to be really cool to see what it will be like."

With these comments in mind, it sounds like Violet Beane is aware of what's to come for her character, Jesse Wells, in the coming weeks. Along with the context she adds to the aforementioned image, it appears as though Violet Beane is definitely going to suit up as a speedster for season three of The Flash.

To add to that, let's take a look at the extended promo for episode three "Magenta" as it provides more information to what's already known of Jesse Wells's transformation.

In the extended promo, it's obvious from the dialogue by Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanaugh) that his daughter has developed speedster abilities and she's now running around Earth-2 as a speedster hero, saving people's lives. It's not said in the promo but this sudden change in Jesse's life on The Flash is probably due to Barry Allen creating the paradoxical universe in which they all currently live in. Jesse Wells's endowment of speedster abilities is just one of the repercussions of Barry's actions during Flashpoint.

Barry did manage to correct some of the mistakes he made by altering the timeline in the during Flashpoint, but he didn't count on Jesse or Harrison Wells being affected by it as well seeing as how the two reside on Earth-2. Barry could have never imagined that his carelessness would lead to Jesse developing speedster abilities, or could Barry have known all along? He was the one to give Jesse a bolt of Speed-Force lightning to wake her from a coma during Season 2. Is it possible Barry Allen knew what supposed to happen in the future — beyond Flashpoint? More on that later.

For now, we need to focus on Jesse Wells as she prepares to step in the shoes of her comic-book counterpart, Jesse Quick.

Episode Synopsis For Episode 3

As we learned in the promo for episode three "Magenta," Jesse and Harrison Wells are returning to Earth-1 and Harrison needs Barry Allen's help — but, to the contrary, Barry seems to be the one in need of help as he faces off with Magenta (Joey King) in Episode 3. The episode synopsis released earlier on gives us a good picture of what's expected to take place during episode three "Magenta".

EARTH-2 WELLS AND JESSE RETURN TO CENTRAL CITY — Barry (Grant Gustin) and Team Flash are thrilled to reunite with Earth-2 Wells (Tom Cavanagh) and Jesse (guest star Violett Beane). Wells confides to Barry and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) that Jesse has all the powers of a speedster and has been saving people on his Earth. He is concerned about her safety and wants them to talk her out of using her powers. Meanwhile, Magenta (guest star Joey King), a new meta who can control metal, terrorizes the city.

As the episode synopsis adds more evidence to back up the claim of Jesse Wells becoming Jesse Quick, we can also tell from the episode synopsis that Harrison Wells isn't all too happy about his daughter having speedster abilities and now that he's on Earth-1, he wants the rest of Team Flash to talk her out of it. Although it appears as though Jesse Wells is going to thrust deeper into the world of speedsters and superhero fights as she reconnects with Barry Allen rather than leaving the life behind.

Jesse Wells Has Become A Speedster!

And from the looks of Jesse Wells running alongside Barry Allen / Flash in the promo for "Magenta," Jesse is going to follow her own path by becoming Jesse Quick despite the wishes of her father to not continue on as a speedster. We already know that a suit has been prepared for her, and with the knowledge of Jesse developing speedster abilities, it's safe to say that Jesse Quick is suiting up for The Flash in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, we still have to ponder on what kind of speedster suit Jesse Wells (Violet Beane) will don. For one, Jesse Quick might be seen in the costume worn by Trajectory last season. It wouldn't be the same costume she was wearing since Trajectory burned up wearing it, but considering that Flashpoint took place, it's very possible that the Trajectory suit will show up again but as a suit for Jesse Wells. However, it's more likely that an original suit will be created for Jesse Wells. Here's an artist rendition of what Violet Beane could look like as Jesse Quick.
