OK, can we all just agree that Donald Glover is one of the most talented people alive today? This 33-year old already has an amazing career as a stand-up comedian, actor, producer, writer, singer and rapper. Not only has he taken TV by storm with his roles in the critically acclaimed Community and #Atlanta, but he is set to shine on the big screen in one of the most iconic sci-fi roles in film history — Lando Calrissian in the upcoming Han Solo movie. And as if slowing down was not an option, he's now set for a new challenge as one of the co-creators of the Deadpool animated series for FXX.

The Merc with a Mouth has quickly become one of the most recognizable #superheroes in American popular culture, ever since Ryan Reynolds and Tim Miller elevated the character to superstardom in 2016's #Deadpool. And with Glover set to put his stamp on the antihero in what's sure to be a gory, foulmouthed, beautiful display of badassery, one question springs to mind: Who will voice Wade Wilson?

Being the A-list superstar that he is and with two Deadpool-related films in the pipeline, Reynolds might be too busy to reprise his role for the small screen. But who could step in? The mutant has been voiced by some pretty impressive names in the animated and video game world, including John Kassir, Nolan North, voice of SpongeBob SquarePants Tom Kenny, Will Friedle and the Joker voice actor Troy Baker.

While Kenny and Baker would easily be my favorites to reprise the role, Nolan North is the most recognizable voice on that list, thanks to his role in the Activision video game Deadpool.

But what if the answer is staring us right in the face? Should the multitalented Donald Glover add to his workload to become the voice of Deadpool? He has the experience, but does he have the vocal chops?

When you look at any incarnation of the character, he always has an air of arrogance and humor about him. Deadpool also tends to have a high-pitched, whiny voice that allows him to mock his enemies. Correct me if I'm wrong, but does Glover not possess all these traits?

He already has experience voicing superheroes, having lent his pipes to Miles Morales for Ultimate Spider-Man. Morales also has the propensity to mock his foes and Glover's lines in that role were delivered with his familiar charisma.

But with a music career, his ongoing role in Atlanta, starring in an upcoming #StarWars anthology film, and already being pegged to write and produce the new animation, will Glover also find the time to voice the character? While in the past he's demonstrated how to balance a heavy workload with style, this might be pushing it.

If he does find the time, it would be the perfect role to show off Glover's talent for voice acting and breathe new life into a character that would be as much fun to hear as he would be to watch.
