15 Things You Might Have Missed While Watching 'Tuca and Bertie'

1. 'Birdvember'

Throughout the show you can see calendars in the background. The thing that you might have missed is that so far all the months start with the word Bird. I think this might be for November... but a part of me thinks it also might be for December.

Not to mention 'Birduary'

This one I am confident it's for February... oh wait... unless it's for January. I hope all the months start with "Bird," just because that would be fun :P

2. Wanted!

"Wanted for Murder, Extortion, Theft, & Jaywalking".

While 'Dakota with a Y' is walking in the city for the first time she talks on the phone about how the city is a wonderful place and that there is nothing for her parents to worry about. Meanwhile, there are all kinds of questionable things going on in the background as she passes by. My personal favourite is Bird that is standing right next to his wanted poster. You can't trust that guy... he jaywalks! Also, if I had to guess... her name must be spelt 'Daykota', right?

3. 'Mooching Money'

When Tuca's aunt writes her a check as she is leaving her mansion, she makes sure to write in the memo that she is 'mooching money'... Rude! I don't care how nice her hand writing is, that is just not okay. Side note, why does she only give Tuca 1,275? She lives in the city so most of that money would go towards her rent. If her aunt was really giving her enough money to live off of then she would give her enough money for food too... just saying.

4. Beak Club

When Bertie feels too 'sub-par' to go to work she thinks that work will go on without her... unfortunately, that's not the case. Bertie's presentation gets moved to the next day and in the meantime... all of the other staff get to watch "Beak Club" instead of working. Needless to say, her co-workers were very happy about it.

5. How much does a BUTTHOLE cost again?

Oh right, it scans for 0.69$.

After Tuca ignores the labels on her various creams... that I don't think she paid for... Well you know what happened. The thing you might not have noticed is that one of the sex big was scanning butt and it was actually recognizing what it was on the cash and giving it a small price of 69 cents. The credit of finding this one goes to my boyfriend... who still laughs about it sometimes.

6. This poor bird at Yeast Fest

Near the beginning of Bertie's trip to Yeast Fest, there is a little blue bird that can be spotted in the foreground. What you might not have noticed the first time watching is what happens to her gorgeous blue feathers. This poor bird goes to check on her baked goods to take a full face of fire. Her eyes say it all in that last photo... instant regret.

7. Fanny's Butt Plug Emporium

"Parking in Rear"

Among many other questionable stores, one of the things that 'Dakota with a Y' passes during her first walk through the city is "Fanny's Butt Plug Emporium." While the store itself might be a little obvious, what you might not have noticed is the sign that reads "Parking in Rear." This is a double entendre at its finest!

8. Terry, Larry and Barry

During the very strange donut dive at Yeast Week we get a close up at three fans who are clearly having the time of their lives. What you might not have noticed is that they have what could possible be the most fun names that I can think of for three fans sitting next to each other. Their passes show their names as, and in order from left to right: 'Terry', 'Larry' and 'Barry'.

9. The Naked Human that is a part of the Merry Go Round

I don't know how to explain why... but this makes me really uncomfortable. In this animal world, a naked human wouldn't be any weirder than the naked horse... but I just can't let myself think of this as normal... It even has a little naked butt and everything. The credit of finding this one also goes to my boyfriend, Ned.

10. Tuca's Interesting Book Collection

Some of Tuca's books include: "The Taste of Eggs," "Quit Boozing: For Birds," "Dr. Garlic's Garlic Remedies" and "I'm Dancing as fast as Toucan." I couldn't help but notice that she keeps all of her books in a broken drum, a broken drum that she probably got off of the side of the street no doubt. Classic Tuca!

Also, Tuca actually bought that Farm Equipment History book ...

Remember when Tuca was awkwardly dodging questions from Bertie at the book store... so she picked up a random book to start reading. Well, it turns out that she actually bought it... or at least got it home somehow.

11. Pastry Pete's questionable Pastries ...

When we see Tuca and Bertie go in Pastry Pete's for the first time... after chasing that turtle with the sugar on its back... Bertie takes a look as some of his pastries for sale. What you might have noticed was that some of his pastries are a but... interesting. Some of the names for his pastries are: "Dough-Butts," "Nipple Dips," and "Quickies." I want to try those 'Quickie' cookies... those look good!

12. Casual Pirate Wednesdays!

"Happy Soft Hump Day (Tuesday)!" and "Casual Pirate Wednesday!"

At Bertie's office there are several cork boards that can be seen in the background. What you might have not noticed is that most of these cork boards have the same two pink and yellow posters on them. The posters read: "Casual Pirate Wednesdays!" and "Happy Soft Hump Day (Tuesday)!" Side note, more people should celebrate soft hump day...

13. There is a little turtle on the Snake Subway.

I wonder if that is one of Draca's turtles... Oh no wait, it can't be one of Draca's turtles because it doesn't have anything on its back. Silly me.

14. Speaking of little turtles... One of Draca's turtles has a Hooka on it

Not to mention the glass of champagne right behind it.

See, you know for sure these are Draca's turtles because they are carrying her stuff for her. These other three turtles in apartment without stuff on their back... Well, that must be a mistake... They could just be Draca's turtles' friends or something.

15. Bird Graphitti

"Kevin is a Bad Lay!!!" and "Eric is a rotten Egg"

Seriously though, that Kevin is a Bad Lay! Don't trust him.
