5 Canceled Shows That Need to Be Brought Back

We can all agree that these ended way too soon, and we would welcome them back with open arms.

5. 'Pitch' (Fox)

A show centred around the first female baseball player in the Major Leagues. This show was well-produced and was a fresh new spin on the rookie drama type of show. Although being great it, it only achieved an OK number of viewers, thus leading to it eventually being canceled. Pitch received great scores and reviews but, unfortunately, that couldn’t save it. Let’s hope another broadcasting company picks this up.

4. 'Everything Sucks!' (Netflix)

Don’t you wish sometimes that you could go back to the 1990s? Well, I sure as hell do. I miss everything about the 90s. Whether it’s the clothes, lifestyle, entertainment, hairstyles, I miss it all. That’s why this was the perfect show for me. It was a great look into the life of kids before all the current forms of technology were introduced in the 2000s. This is a show that should definitely be back.

3. 'The Exorcist'

This is one of the most terrifying shows I’ve ever watched, and I love horror. It’s a great canonical addition to the Exorcist universe, with an excellent production value and great cinematography. Every scene is somewhat chilling and some sequences made me hold my breath out of fear it might hear me. Even fans of the original movie loved the series and wouldn’t have minded if it continued for a few more years. The show also added some A-list actors like John Cho and Geena Davis, alongside the terrific dynamic duo that is Alfonso Herrera and Ben Daniels—a must watch for everyone, and let’s hope this gets revived by a production company soon.

2. 'Ash vs Evil Dead'

Ash Williams is back and better than ever. Rocking his iconic chainsaw and boomstick, he's killing every "deadite" in his way and staying groovy the whole time. This show follows Ash and his two friends as they journey to destroy the Necronomicon and return all the deadites back to hell. Unfortunately, due to the show being a Starz exclusive, its ratings were garbage and thus one of the best dark comedies was canceled. Even worse news is that Bruce Campbell, the face and voice of Ash Williams for decades, has officially announced his retirement from the character. Let’s hope he changes his mind.

1. 'The Last Man on Earth'

Being the last man on earth is not as fun as it sounds. Well, actually, it sucks, but Phil Miller finds ways to keep busy until more people start showing up. The show was absolutely hilarious and one of the most unique shows on TV. Unfortunately, due to the low-to-OK ratings, it was canceled on one hell of a cliffhanger, making the lives of our favourite characters uncertain. I’m planning on starting a petition to bring it back. Let’s hope they realize their mistake.

1.5. 'Almost Human'

Fox strikes again with another beloved show getting canceled. In Almost Human we follow two officers of the law, one human and one android. They are partnered up to protect and serve, and, along the way, they encounter a large number of discriminatory people against androids, meaning most of their cases are android-related—either a crime committed by a rogue android or a murdered android. Paired with excellent performances by both Karl Urban and Michael Ealy, the show was very well received and loved by its fans, garnering great reviews. Unfortunately, the viewership wasn’t there.
