An 'Unfortunate' Trailer has been Released
While there is yet to be a release date, nor an announcement of who will be involved, there has been a teaser trailer released.
Last May I reported that Netflix would be rebooting the children's series, A Series of Unfortunate Events. While there is yet to be a release date, nor an announcement of who will be involved, there has been a teaser trailer released. It hints about a lot of the aspects of the series, the most clever I think being the book on "How to Start Fires" which is a hint at one unfortunate event, ending with a shadowy figure that any of the fans of the novel would easily recognize.
I, for one, am excited to see the world of Lemony Snicket returned to, especially since Netflix does a great job with their series such as Orange is the New Black and Daredevil. With the way that they handled the storyline of Matt Mordock, I have no doubt that they will handle the children's series with great care and respect to the original concept.
Here's hoping that the tale will once again be chilling and thrilling, with it's thirteen episode run.
Update: the trailer, like the poster made in June, is actually fan made, however there is still going to be a series released by Netflix
