Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are Officially Divorcing

Honestly, I am in much bigger surprise than just about anyone about this report. It is official, one of the biggest couples in Hollywood, who have been married for ten years, which is like 50 in Hollywood time, have decided to call it quits.

The couple met on the set of Daredevil, which is about the only good thing that came out of that movie. While they have always seemed supportive of each other's careers and strong in their marriage, it appears that there has been a strain.

The couple confirmed the news to People, in a joint statement saying

After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time. This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding.

The couple have three children together, Violet, Seraphina and Saul. Hopefully they can keep true to their word and keep things friendly for the sake of their children, who are really going to be the victims in this situation.

I truly wish the whole family the best in this difficult time.
