Prime Video Recommendations

The Best of Amazon Prime's Video Streaming

If you haven't heard about it yet, Amazon Prime made their own version of Netflix. If you already have Amazon Prime, then you get free access to all kinds of streaming, so congrats! The bad news is that the selection really doesn't seem that great. The good news is that I have looked through what is offered and found some recommendations.

I'm not going to say that the shows and movies on this list are good...I would say that they are more decent than some of the other stuff. If you have Amazon Prime, you might as well check the list out. After all, we're used to the background noise in our lives at this point.

Get Ready! Set! Prime Video Recommendations!

'Heroes Reborn'

This one is my personal favourite on Prime Video. It's been a while since the original show, Heroes, came out. I didn't think it would happen after this long of a wait, but I am happy to see the story continue. However, like all great shows, the quality decreases over time. If you can get past the horrible special effects and the fact that Claire isn’t in it, it’s pretty good.

'Les Miserables'

If you don’t like musicals, don’t watch this. Otherwise, the overall quality and effort put into it is really impressive. Lots of money went into this movie, it has famous people in it and the storyline is good.

'Knights in Hyrule'

I’m not totally sure whats going on in this show...but I like it. It seems to be some kind of funny fan fiction of The Legend of Zelda. It's a good show for background noise.

'Jaws' One, Two and Three

Classics, good for a date night...or a Prime Video and chill. Whatever you are into...I don't judge, just use protection please.

'Mr. Robot'

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Mr. Robot used to be an exclusive somewhere, so I'm glad it is easier to find now. I feel like I can't tell you why I like Mr. Robot without spoiling it, so please just give it a try.

'Van Helsing' (The Original)

I watched the new version of Van Helsing on Netflix before I saw this one, so it's kinda cool to see where it all came from. Oh, the movie is decent too.

'Fear the Walking Dead'

After falling in love with The Walking Dead, I really like having a spin-off. It's a way to lessen the withdrawal from The Walking Dead. This show is definitely good enough to make the "decent" list...but still, it's not as good as the original Walking Dead show.

'Groundhog Day'

If you haven’t seen it yet, watch it! If you have already seen it, for the love of god, don’t watch it again...once is enough. Groundhog Day is a classic that people will reference for the rest of your life, so you have to see it at least once.

'Boogie'

Cool intro art—the whole movie has a cartoon like/comic book like feel to it. I’ll give you a warning though, don’t watch it if you don’t like violence or joking about untimely death of small children. It's definitely not the kind of show to take seriously.

'Dirty Dancing'

I really like that Prime has some classics on here. It’s always nice to have access to a quality classic movie collection. I just hope Prime doesn’t take stuff down as often as Netflix does.

'Inspector Gadget'

The original classic children’s television show is on Amazon Prime and I love it just purely for nostalgic reasons.

One thing that I really like about Prime Video is that you can have multiple videos open at once…unlike Netflix. Otherwise, if you don't have Prime Video, there is no need to go get it. You're not missing much.

Thank you for reading my list of decent Prime Video streaming movies and shows! I hope you enjoyed reading it! If you want to read more work by me, I have also written Netflix Original Reviews and lots of similar content. Please feel free to check out the rest of my work on Vocal. If you absolutely loved my work and want to see more stuff like this, please feel free to give a donation. I base my future posts on what receives the most donations. So if you want to see more Prime Video recommendations, donating is the way to do it. No pressure though, I totally understand if you can't.
