Is it only a short of amount of time until the famous Superman stands alongside Supergirl? Could it be as soon as Season 2 of Supergirl? During Season 1 of Supergirl, the iconic Clark Kent has made a few “blink and you'll miss it” moments. But during these cameos his face is unseen with no actor actually revealed. But executive producer, Ali Adler is open to introducing Superman to Supergirl in the coming future. But he requests that the main aim of the show still focuses on Supergirl throughout.

“It's always a conversation. I'll come back to the answer that this is Supergirl’s show, and it's her point of view. But he lives in our world, and at some point, we'd definitely like to meet him." – Ali Adler

Ali Adler was incredibly optimistic about the possible chances of Supergirl getting renewed. Her comments echo the star, David Harewood who told Digital Spy that things are looking “very positive” for the show to be renewed for Season 2.

"The fans have been vociferous and very vocal, so hopefully it's enough to get us a second season.” – David Harewood

The decision to end Season 1 on a cliffhanger was apparently a “conscious choice” according to Ali Alder. Alder admits the network are incredibly interested in bringing the spectacular Melissa Benoist back for a second season.
