Wow! What an amazing episode of Survivor! First off, wait, no previously? Wow, definite first time that, not for an episode that wasn't a premiere, that there wasn't a "Previously on Survivor." That is very interesting. Wasn't expecting that. Anyway, Joe got the boot and now he's on the "Edge of Extinction" making Aurora question her loyalties. Not to mention David and Rick Devens feeling screwed over by their former Lesu tribe mates. Though, now those tribe mates suddenly want to make a move with them. Good luck with that. And Joe tries to see the "Edge of Extinction" as part of his destiny on Survivor. At the reward challenge, the tribe is split into two teams of six and battle it out for Chinese takeout. While the blue team leads the battle of untying, diving to puzzle. Yellow gets a chance to catch up. But ultimately, Blue wins the reward so they feast while the yellow team wished for a chicken to hop into the fire so they can feast.

Then, strategy began. Wentworth offered David an opportunity, for him and Devens to team up with them and they'd get Aurora and possibly force a tie or, assuming that Kama wants a split vote, make a big blindside. Though, WarDog went to convince Devens. And well, I'm gonna be honest here, WarDog hasn't proven himself to be a perfect social player thus far, but you never know, he did get Chris blindsided. And of course, Rick immediately declines, feeling too betrayed to stick with his old tribe and wanting to be with Kama instead. Even when speaking to his biggest ally, David, Rick was adamant that they go with Kama. Though, David knew that it wouldn't be the best move for his game. So, he kept his half of the idol until they start to agree a bit more again, being on opposite sides, David playing more strategically and Rick more emotionally. Meanwhile at the "Edge of Extinction," each of the booted players all hunted for a possible advantage. And ultimately, Aubry used her quick wit and determination to get it, receiving the ability to practice for the next "Extinction" challenge to get an opportunity to re-enter the game. In addition, she also received an extra vote for a player still in the game. At the immunity challenge, the castaways stood in wooden frames with a block in between their heads and the tops of the frames. It was a hard fought battle, filled with the big and strong people falling early, Lauren fighting to win so hard that she passes out and medics have to check on her, showing true strength and determination on her end. Ultimately, even after trying and failing to convince a fellow former Kama member to jump off, Aurora ended up winning immunity.

Back at camp, Aurora's luck continued, as she found the extra vote (that we know is from Aubry) in her bag. Also, Ron and Eric tried to keep their fellow former Kamas in line by mentioning how they will all get to the loved ones' visit together. But, as they should've figured it out, Survivor isn't a game where you fight to get all the way to the loved ones' visit, it's a game where you fight to the get to the end and win. And though, Rick was still with them as David knew and told Kelley about, the former Lesus weren't gonna give up. WarDog put some ideas into Julia and Gavin's heads that David and Rick were gonna replace the younger Kamas and get further than them. Julia tried to test this theory, by trying to get Eric to reconsider taking out David, which Eric did not agree to, proving WarDog correct. (Nice job WarDog on convincing them, you've definitely proven your social prowess to me, dude.) Anyway, Julia and Gavin spoke with Victoria about the idea of taking out Ron or Eric next, but Victoria didn't want to budge, or so it seemed at least.

And at Tribal Council, it was mostly talk of how David said, you can be a pilot or passenger. In other words, be a threat to win or just a goat just brought to the end while someone else wins. Then, there was also talk of making big moves to ensure your worthiness as a player. And then, a move was made. The initial split vote was foiled, Gavin, Julia, Aurora and even Victoria jumped ship, blindsiding Eric and sending him to the "Edge of Extinction." Note to future Survivors, never feel comfortable, cause the moment you do is the moment you get blindsided.

Overall, this has been an amazing episode of Survivor and I cannot wait to see what happens next week when Rick and David argue over who gets the idol and it seems that everyone will suddenly become a target to someone. #Survivor #SurvivorEdgeofExtinction #ByeEric #Blindside #JumpingShip #BigMoves #NoLongerATribevTribeGame #GoBigOrGoHome #WarDogIsGettingBetter #GoLesu #EmotionsVsStrategy #WhoKnowsWhatWillHappenNext #EdgeofExtinction
