'The Big Bang Theory' Set To End In 2017?
It All Ended With The Big Bang...
'The Big Bang Theory' showrunner has told 'The Hollywood Reporter' that the producers are approaching the 2016-17 run as the CBS comedy hit show's last Season. However, Steve Molaro has said "it's certainly possible" the show will continue beyond season 10 next year.
"The reality is that maybe Season 10 is the ending point. I don't know and all I can do right now is go episode to episode and try to make each one the best that we can. There's still so many episodes to go. Even if hypothetically Season 10 was the end, I wouldn't be focusing on that yet. That seems like something that would be dealt with way down the line." - Steve Molaro
The show's creator Chuck Lorre has revealed he is not ready to put an end date on the shows long run.
"I'm not going to presume to know how many years this has because it's ridiculous for me to guess. As long as everybody is having a good time and we're making a show we're proud of ... then it's worth continuing." - Chuck Lorre
With Season 9 coming to a close, 'The Big Bang Theory' is currently the number one comedy show on television among adults aged 18-49. Season 10 has officially been announced and the three main stars have been given paychecks of $1,000,000 per episode!
If the show is going to come to an end in 2017, Lorre and Molaro have announced that there are several story plots that they want to tidy up first. These story plots are:
- An official formal wedding for Penny and Leonard.
- A scientific breakthrough for Leonard and Sheldon.
- An introduction of extended family members which include Sheldon's meemaw, Penny's mum and Leonard's dad.
Well, we've met Sheldon's meemaw and Leonard's dad has been officially announced to star in Season 10 of the show. If you see the above list happen in Season 10, we should start worrying!
