Back in 2012, we were introduced to the world of what goes on behind the scenes of our favorite video games, in the movie Wreck-It Ralph. It was a heartwarming story, making us feel sympathy for a bad guy, who wasn't really such a bad guy, he was just the reason Fix-It Felix had to fix things, it was how the game was set up. He was actually a really sweet and lovable guy when he wasn't having to wreck things.

John C. Reilly, who voiced the title character, has confirmed to Galway Film Fleadh that he has signed on to reprise his role and that a film is definitely in the works.

Director Rich Moore has previously stated that he explored ideas for the sequel immediately after the first release, and that he has considered console and online gaming to be included. This could actually be fascinating, especially if Fix-It Felix Jr, the game in which Ralph does all his wrecking, followed suit of many classic games and was made available online and having Ralph have to get used to the inter webs. Or if we had another Toy Story 2 situation, and there are two Ralph's... And the other one is evil and really likes to destroy things and he gets into the internet and tries to destroy the whole thing, and the old gang has to get back together and take "Evil Ralph" down.

Either way, with Disney behind the wheel and hopefully more of the original cast involved, there is no doubt that this will be a smash hit just like it's predecessor. I can't wait to see where the world of gaming will lead to next.

Remember the pixelated awesomeness of the original with this trailer
