Book Review: 'After Alice'
Haven't read it? Get this thing on Amazon here. For those of you who have been following my Vocal journey, you can tell I enjoy Alice spinoffs... can't you? I took a 300-level English class during my undergraduate years in college that was based on Alice's Adventures and Looking-Glass, which I enjoyed quite a bit. I ended up writing an unnecessarily lengthy document on the character of Alice becoming a warrior-style character throughout time. It was kind of badass, let's be real.

Book Review: 'Red Queen'
This is the second book to the ALICE series by Christina Henry. Click onto my profile to find the first book. Before I get into the summary and review of the story, I do want to discuss the fact that the content that lies ahead can be triggering for some people. This story is centered on a sexual-assault survivor-based story, so approach ahead at your own discretion.**

Book Review: 'Tuesdays with Morrie'
Tuesdays with Morrie is a novel based on the experience author Mitch Albom had when reconnecting with his old coach, Morrie, who is about to pass. Full of life lessons and understanding of what the world has to offer, this novel is one to really make you consider answers for how to make it through. This book made my heart tear by thinking about death. That sounds odd, but it is true—it is bound to happen, so why not do it with love?

Album Review: 'Doom Days' by Bastille
If you are a fan of alternative music, you've probably heard of the band, Bastille. Their 2013 hit, "Pompeii" rocked radios for a bit, and the band has been releasing music ever since in the form of three studio albums, four mixtapes titled Other People's Heartache 1 to 4, and two non-album collaborations, one being the instant 2018 hit "Happier" with Marshmello.

Must Haves: Bleachers
Bleachers has been such an important band in my life, because they really know how to make me get in the feels, but also I genuinely enjoy Jack Antonoff's music style. They are mainly know for "I Wanna Get Better," their RIAA certified gold debut single.

Give Me the Feels: Bleachers
Bleachers has been in my life for quite some time, not to mention frontrunner Jack Antonoff, member of the short lived fun. (shameless plug wishing for them to do a Jo-Bros-style comeback) They're all about 80s vibes, pop-y sounds, and a little bit of heartbreak. Below is a small list of must-have Bleachers songs targeted right to your fragile heart.

How to Survive the Dreaded Group Project
Group projects are the worst—yes, the worst. They take a lot of time out of your daily routine, they are mentally exhausting, and they are universally disliked by college students, yet they are a common tool used by professors to develop communication and team building between students.

I Am Not Ready to Graduate
I have always been a good student. I excelled in the classes I enjoyed, and I tried my best in the classes that didn't necessarily click (I have avoided science courses like it was the devil). I was also always extremely involved and would want to put my hand in everything. I loved the idea of being a part of something, and now it is coming to an end.

Give Me the Feels: Mumford & Sons
Mumford & Sons have been in my life for quite some time, and just like any artist, they have their fair share of deep cuts that just really give you the feelies. Love is something that makes you feel--especially the really melancholic, yearnful, depressing love songs that really rip your heart in half through the headphones. If you really want to feel the pain, here are 10 songs that will get you there...get your ice cream ready.

How to Survive a Horror Film
Horror movies are a go-to choice anytime, but are especially prevalent for Halloween. The fright and adrenaline rush that follows a horror flick proves how amazing the genre is to provide a physiological response (such as jumping, screaming, maybe having popcorn explode into the sky by a scary scene).
