The Rule of Cool: How Mortal Kombat Taught Me a Valuable Lesson
The 2021 reboot of the Mortal Kombat movies came to our screens in the vague fog. It quietly graced our screens and nestled itself into the annals of cinematic history without causing much of a fuss. Seeing it available to watch on a well-known digital movie channel, I found myself excited to finally see what I thought was going to be another attempt at forging a new cinematic universe. (Given that everyone has been trying to do that since 2010) But when my dear mother downloaded the movie and we sound down to watch it, I was surprised to see that it had only been out since April I found that it was nothing more or less than a good old fashioned action-packed trip down memory lane.

Why Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is a particularly important movie.Top Story - November 2021
It is the fervent opinion of this writer that 2019 saw one of (if not) the most important cinematic event in recent history. Avengers: Endgame was the culmination of a solid decade’s worth of storytelling and world-building that has never been seen before in the history of motion pictures. Its defining moments being an epic battle that was filled with the characters that cinemagoers like myself had spent almost eleven years building an emotional attachment to. It was a journey that we had all been on since the humble beginnings of the 2008 film the incredible Hulk and slowly became not so much a series of films but an institution in its own right. So, it is perfectly understandable that the millions of fans across the world would be left in somewhat of a vacuum after Endgame closed the lid on an era of Marvel history that we all know as the Infinity Saga. And in this post-stark, post-infinity stones, post-Avengers world, we all stand hand in hand looking to the vast unknown that is Marvel's phase four.

Sisyphean Anonymous.
One of the things I love most about being a writer is that some experiences can be shared by anyone who chooses to spend their time honing their craft regardless of whether or not they are traditionally published or even make a living doing what they do. During my life, I have found that the writing experience is one that we can all share, providing that we have the desire to create literary art.

The Mandalorian Season 2.
It came and went quicker than a podracer crossing the finish line, but the second season of The Mandalorian has come and gone. Finishing last Friday with the aptly titled "The Rescue." I'm not going to bog this article down by giving you and arbitrary rundown of the episode's plot. Mostly because I think that's a cheap way of getting more words onto the page. But also, it is because the realised that most the people who are most likely to read this lovingly prepared article will fall into one of two main groups.
