Return of Darkness
Chapter 1- Sorina The plan already began its descent. I clutch the suede necklace that I have worn for as long as I can remember. The thin wire wrapped around the clear, broken crystal digs into my hand. It should hurt, or at the very least be an uncomfortable sensation in my skin, but I don’t feel a thing. There is no weight to the stone or chill from the cold metal of the gold sun charm that hands from the wire pressing on my fingers. I can’t hear my ears pop as the plane edges closer to the ground. I don’t even see anything around me though I am wide awake.

Dating in the 21st Century
;2022. What a year. It's been hell. Hell (no immediate pun intended) the last 13 years of my romantic life have been hell. And when I say hell I actually mean more like nonexistent. Well in most cases it has been nonexistent. Let me restart.

Am I The Red Flag?
I’ve always thought of myself as a relatively good person, but lately I have been wondering, am I the problem? All my life, I have had relationships disappointment whether it be with my brothers, friendships, or boyfriends. I used to owe it to the fact that I’m far too trusting or that I try to see the good in others. But perhaps that isn’t the case. Perhaps I am the red flag. Or perhaps I see problems where there are none. Either way, I am going to share a few intimate stories. I want opinions on if I am the problem. If I am how do I change? If I’m not, then what do I do from here?

To Be a Jew
DISCLAIMER: This poem is in no way meant to be a overly religious piece. This is just about what it is like to feel like a minority that cannot be based off of things people normally cannot see when looking at a person who is Jewish. There is mostly about discrimination and that is all it should be about. I apologize if this offends anyone.

Stop Cyber Bullying
We live in a world where information is at our fingertips. The world wide web. It is supposed to be the greatest tool of the 21st century. And yet this magic that brings us closer together comes with a cost. It comes with anonymity. This anonymity is a power to those who were once afraid to share their voices. It's the 'Dear Abby' of the 21st century, but instead of using it as a tool to ask for help and advice, many use it as a way to hurt and attack others.

Stop Idolizing Harley Quinn
Psychiatrist. Vigilante. Landlady. Criminal. These are the occupations, former and present of Harley Quinn. A fan favorite, Harley Quinn is a character many love and some even idolize. While I have enjoyed the character in the 1992 cartoon Batman: The Animated Series I find myself in the minority of thinking her such a great character. In fact, I find her idolization quite disturbing.

The Handmaid's Tale
The Handmaid's tale is a cultural phenomenon! For anyone who has seen the television show, one can see and infer many similarities in our present world and this dystopian future. The book the show inspired has many similarities as well as many differences. This is to be expected as the book is a stand alone novel where as the series is able to go into depth with what the book speaks of. We shall first speak of the broad differences before going in deeper to the details of the book versus the show.

'The Tudors' Costumes Part 2
We have now arrived to part two of this series of how costumes can tell a story. Much of the anger towards the costuming in Showtime's 'The Tudors' is related towards Anne Boleyn's costumes. What I find most interesting is that all people do is criticize instead of asking why her dresses were made this way. Since Anne has so many clothes, we shall be explaining her wardrobe in two parts. Part one will focus solely on her clothes from season one.

Pongo & Perdita "Siblings"?
The long awaited release of 'Cruella' starring Academy Award Winner Emma Stone has been released May 28th, 2021. The movie has brought to life to a new origin for the puppy-killing villain. One that is both heart-warming and tragic. This is a story not for the light hearted and even less of a story for children. The rest of this article contains spoilers. Those who have not yet watched 'Cruella' should leave this article now.

Truest Heroes
There has been nothing easy about the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. We are all struggling and what I'm about to tell you, I am sure many of you have experienced as well. In March, I had been furloughed from my job as a waitress. I have had to apply for unemployment. I am living with my parents (though I now jokingly say they live with me and just happen to pay for everything). I am single with little social life, and even less now as the majority of my friends live in other states. I have done the best I can to remain in contact with them thanks to social media and online game nights, but they do not compare to the real thing of being with them in person.
