Bio
Finding myself daily in God's word, but from what I can tell I'm a mother of soon to be 3, with one that's already a seven year old princess, wife to an amazing supportive husband, and a vessel to help create peace, mostly within oneself.

Obedience is Authenticity
April 21, 2023 Today was one of those days when my obedience wasn't as strong. This is a journey, a long game, a marathon, and we choose how to live and how to show reverence every day. I poured it in, but my flesh is weak and is still finding ways to assimilate me into the culture of this generation. Hook-up culture, non-commital culture, "spiritual" culture. and the like. I almost feel fraudulent in this moment, but writing this and taking you down this road with me is as authentic as I can be. Understanding that we are not perfect. There are days when I'm nobody's bible thumper, maybe a podcast, maybe an audiobook, maybe nothing. Everyone has a different relationship and is growing in their own ways, striving to get closer to God. Today I don't have bible study for you, today I need prayer, so today we have prayer.

Success is Obedience
April 20, 2023 Here is where we keep it real. This is a Devotional for women and girls like me, and can I be honest with you, today I was distracted. I did not read as much as I wanted and what I did read, didn't stick. This is about consistency, I can read more when I get home, but if I skip a day on this journey, one day will turn to two, two will turn to seven, and I will forget what I was even writing this for. I did however give that podcast another listen, in addition to finishing another one. To stay on track sometimes it is more feasible to do an audiobook, or a podcast, but always make sure you are filling your cup. Especially if you are in the process of diluting trauma and in the process of renewing your mind. We spoke about what obedience was not in the last section. Today we will speak about what obedience is in this section. Obedience is many things, but for the sake of this devotional and what we are studying, obedience is success, and success is obedience.

Obedience is Not Agreement
April 15, 2023 I'm in the car after a fire business conference, driving home because it was all the way in Orlando, FL, and I live in Fort Myers, FL. Normally I would take this time to sleep very loudly next to my husband in the passenger seat, I'm his forever passenger princess. God bless his heart he was falling asleep at the conference, so I decided to take his usual trek. I put on a podcast to pass the time and keep myself awake, and this is where God drew me on those dark roads in the dead of night.

A Season of Obedience
You will be blessed when you come in, and blessed when you go out. When I stumbled upon This chapter of Deuteronomy, I was looking for Exodus. Hopping back on my spiritual train after I let my life get in the way of my relationship with God, again. None of us are perfect, and he chooses to love us anyway. It's not like I hadn't praised him in my time of weakness, because I put the songs on, I cried the tears, I called his name, but my heart wasn't right.

The Millennial’s ‘She’s Gotta Have It’ **Spoiler Alert**
Over Thanksgiving weekend, the beloved and adored Spike Lee released his second coming, in the form of a mini series, of the 80’s film She’s Gotta Have It. As an Afro-wearing, black art loving, African American, feminist, millennial, I felt it my duty to tune in; and tune in I did, to all ten episodes...in one night. Here are my findings, and let me be real, this will not be your Refinery29, IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes 🍅 kind of review. I’m a black girl, a black artist, a black feminist, a black—everything, so I won’t insult anyone by pretending to be unbiased; nor will I create this falsehood where that doesn’t matter. I am honest, though, if that counts for something. So let’s jump right in!
