Valuing Literature in all its Forms
There is a common misconception that Kindles, Nook Books, Kobos and other e-readers are somehow killing the market of books published in print. People tend to take a side on whether they appreciate the ability to carry lots of reading material in a single device, or if a precious hardback book can be pried from their cold, dead hands.

Book Review: Red, White & Royal Blue
Synopsis When his mother became President, Alex Claremont-Diaz was promptly cast as the American equivalent of a young royal. Handsome, charismatic, genius―his image is pure millennial-marketing gold for the White House. There's only one problem: Alex has a beef with the actual prince, Henry, across the pond. And when the tabloids get hold of a photo involving an Alex-Henry altercation, U.S./British relations take a turn for the worse.

Key Lime Pie Ice-Cream
What does quarantine, Pinterest, and my craving for sour foods have in common? A burning desire to try a new recipe since there is literally nothing else to do. Also, I had an unopened ice-cream maker in my cabinet that was calling my name. A couple weeks ago, I finally answered. I decided to try making Key Lime Pie Ice-Cream.

The Weight of Grief
“An oxygen mask will automatically appear in front of you. The Different Types of Nonfiction
The first thing people think of when nonfiction is mentioned is probably a biography, or maybe that textbook you spent 300 bucks on and have opened exactly twice. Neither of these things makes me excited for even the possibility of cracking open a nonfiction book, and in my heart, I'm a little bitter about it.

Five Assigned Reading Books You Shouldn't Skip
No one likes assigned reading; it’s okay to admit it. A lot of the time they are boring and drone on and on and on. Each page is a chore! However, my rebellious "I'm not going to read this and you can't make me" stage in school meant that I missed out on some really great literary works, just because I thought they were boring and unrelatable at the time. I couldn’t see the use of them or how they applied to my life, so I searched the internet for overviews, summaries, and key themes within the novels. Thank you, Sparknotes, for helping me pass 10th grade.
