What Doesn't Kill You Makes You... Want to Get a Break
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. You might be surprised that Kelly Clarkson wasn't the first to say this. Nietzsche preceded her by almost two centuries. Is it just me? Oh, well. The point is, I fully agree with whoever says that what doesn't kill us makes us stronger, but I can't help thinking that sometimes it just warns us about reaching a dangerous limit. It might've not killed you (yay!), but it made you want to get a break.

My Name Is Ziuta, I Trade Wood
This story happened when I was five years old, and my dad would always mention it during his motivational training. The golden thought of it were the words of Helen Keller: The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.

It Only Gets StrangerTop Story - September 2021
I remember so distinctly when a trailer for Stranger Things season two dropped. It was one of the best trailers I've ever seen in my life. I loved season one, and I was so excited to see how the story develops. I remember this powerful sensation I had when I was watching it. It was a pure want. I wanted it so badly. What? To work on a show that's on such a mind-blowing level.

Is working in a restaurant something I want as my future career? No. I mean, never say never, but for now, no. Do I judge the idea of it? Absolutely not. My mom has worked in almost every industry over the last thirty years. And when I say this, I actually mean it. This woman had her own food truck, worked in a pharmaceutical company, and was a film make-up artist. And that is just a modest 1% of all the things. In her 40s, though, she realized that what brings her most joy is being a waitress in a great restaurant. As simple as that. And I can totally understand that.

Are You an Overthinker? Don't Overthink It.
Hi Vocal, it's been a while. What a crazy little ride this whole life thing is lately, huh? I've missed writing something that is not a script, so I'm back! I was thinking (ironically) a lot lately about something that I consider one of my worst flaws- overthinking. What am I overthinking? Oh, well, pretty much everything. Someone had a slightly different tone speaking to me? = What did I do? Someone asks me a random question? = Why did they ask me about it? Should I know more about this?

The Views Were Nice, But The Food Was Better
Even as a kid, I always liked my food international. Whenever I would go to a restaurant with my Dad, they'd always offer me a kids menu. Waiters were clearly not used to a 7-year-old Marcel ordering a beef carpaccio as a starter and seafood linguine as a main. "The portion is quite big for a child," is what I'd often hear. But my Dad, without any hesitation, would always say: "He got this."

9 Years Long Ballet
Social embarrassment is basically my cardio at this point. Just the other day, I fully introduced myself to a random guy at work. I assumed he was doing a trial shift, so I went: "Hi, I'm Marcel. It's so nice to meet you! What's your name?" The poor guy looked at me a bit terrified. When I realized he was a stranger about to pick up some carton boxes, I cringed my way up the stairs in silence. But that is nothing!

One Day at a Time, Gemini
Geminis are expressive and represent two different personalities in one. Maybe that's why some of the best actors in the world are Geminis? I share my birthday, June 9th, with two iconic actors- Natalie Portman and Johnny Depp and I'm an actor myself (although placing myself next to these two probably sounds a bit sad, well, you get the point.) We're curious and affectionate. We go from an emotional wreck to a self-made hero within 6 minutes. We need excitement and fight fiercely for what makes us feel passionate.

The Perks of Being a Vintage Flower
You might be thinking, "Marcel, what on earth is a vintage flower?" Fair enough. A vintage flower refers to a person whose fashion style is characterized by choosing what they wear through the prism of being unapologetically themselves. Someone who puts their spin on vintage outfits, making them unique.
