"The Last Dance" series - The Legacy of Michael Jordan
I'm a guy from northern England in his mid-30's with no particular sporting ability. I've never been to an NBA game and I've been bored by the few English professional basketball games I have seen. But I've also been gripped by the recent Netflix/ESPN series "The Last Dance" and I now realise that somehow, in a very small way, I'm actually part of Michael Jordan's incredible legacy.

Aaron Sorkin moves to the next level as a writer/director with "The Trial of the Chicago 7"
"The Trial of the Chicago 7" is written and directed by Aaron Sorkin and anyone who knows me will tell you that I am a huge fan of his. I've watched almost every single TV programme and movie he's ever created, although for some reason I've never been drawn to "Charlie Wilsons War" and I only discovered "Malice" (Sorkin's second movie script from 1993) when researching for this review.

Review - Hamilton on Disney +Top Story - July 2020
Oh my word! This is the most excited I've been for a film release since the midnight showing of "Avengers: Endgame" last year in my local IMAX. I'm a massive fan of the stage musical, to the point where I've seen it twice in London's West End and once on Broadway - after waiting over 8 hours outside the Richard Rodgers Theatre in the cancellation queue. The favourite cast I've seen to date is the first run from London, but I've always wished I could have seen the original from Broadway with writer and creator Lin-Manuel Miranda starring as the lead; and now I can.

Review - Frozen 2
After it's early release in the US, "Frozen 2" has just arrived for home streaming via Disney + worldwide, so I thought now was a good time to take a look at the movie that had the unenviable task of following the highest grossing animation film of all time.

Review - Eurovision Song Contest: The Story Of Fire Saga
I was really looking forward to this and to a certain degree, I think I needed it. My family and I have been really fortunate in a lot of ways over the last few months, but after Brexit, another general election, COVID-19, lockdown and the (essential) aftermath of the recent murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis, my soul really needed a fresh, silly, Will Ferrell comedy as a break for ninety minutes.

Film Review - Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
We all knew that when they rebooted "Jurassic Park" with "Jurassic World" in 2015, it was never going to be for a one-off. It was always going to be a new franchise with at least a trilogy of films, they just needed that first one to be a relative success. Well, it proved to be a monster hit with a worldwide gross of over $1.6bn; that's Marvel Avenger's money!

Disney Plus' Hidden "National Treasure"
Disney + is brilliant and a stroke of genius commercially. You've got Disney super-fans who will eat up anything and everything from the Mickey Mouse House; you've got Star Wars fans who were desperate to see "The Mandalorian" and binge all related series and content; you've got Marvel fans, young and old, who are frothing at the mouth for the new MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) limited series'; you've got parents who need clean, trusted films & TV programmes for their kids of all ages; and then you've got everyone else who has some great, nostalgic connection with at least one of the films or shows in their library.

Film Review: Jurassic World
I love the original "Jurassic Park". Released in cinemas in 1993, it's a classic Steven Spielberg film with the perfect mix of drama, humour, tension and action. Not only did Spielberg and his team moved CGI technology another leap forward at the time, blending the artificial with real-life animatronics to help suspend belief and sell the monster effects, but they also created some of the all-time classic movie moments - from the rippling water shot to the "raptors in the kitchen" scene.

Justice League - can it be saved by the fabled "Snyder Cut"? Part 2
Here is Part 2 of the "Snyder Cut" feature published earlier today. "Justice League" Production Issues By 2017, Marvel Studios and Disney were soaring high. They had released 16 films from the MCU and were so confident in their product, that they scheduled the third Thor movie ("Thor: Ragnorak") for release in the same month as "Justice League" (November 2017) - a single franchise lead against a full DC super-team. On the other hand, DC and Warner Bros. were reeling from the poor reactions to both "Batman vs Superman" and "Suicide Squad", but they had some hope after the overwhelmingly positive response for "Wonder Woman".

Justice League - can it be saved by the fabled "Snyder Cut"? Part 1
There's possibly no hotter fan war online than Marvel vs DC Comics, to the point where there have been co-ordinate efforts to bias ratings on independent movie review sites. There are even wide-spread conspiracies that Marvel Studio's owner, Disney, has paid film critics and publishers for positive reviews for Marvel films and negative reviews for DC/Warner Bros Studio films.
