The Synergy Behind Two Spider-Man Posters
Dear reader: None of these notes are meant to uncover any intention behind the designers of these posters or films. Any resonance between the definitions of the symbols, their appearance in the media, and the themes or plotlines lies somewhere between completely coincidental and absolutely intentional. This applies to all of my symbol and theme digging.
MoviesPlusBooksPublished 2 years ago in GeeksMy Review of "Attack of the Hollywood Clichés"
Attack of the Hollywood Clichés is some sort of educational compilation of facts about Hollywood movie making. I know that there's a lot of clichés in Hollywood so I wanted to see if they had anything that would surprise me. There were a few but I think a lot of us knew about most of these.
Brian AnonymousPublished 2 years ago in GeeksMy Review of "The Matrix: Reloaded"
The Matrix: Reloaded came out back in 2003. It was 4 years after the original movie had come out. The filmmakers had a tall order to fulfill because the expectations for this sequel was sky high. There were so many aspects of that original movie that we wanted this new sequel to match.

Steven LeitmanPublished 2 years ago in GeeksPoisoned - Review
In 2019, Jennifer Donnelly, author of the acclaimed 2003 YA novel A Northern Light (known as A Gathering Light in some territories), found renewed success with Stepsister. The story of “wicked” stepsister Isabelle and her journey from hated bully to heroic warrior, it represented a gritty but rousing spin on the fairytale genre. Donnelly has followed this up with Poisoned, which applies a similar revisionist approach to the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Since it was published late last year, Endeavour Productions have purchased the rights to make a movie adaptation.* But does Posioned confirm Jennifer Donnelly’s newfound status as a major star in the competitive subgenre of YA fairytales?
Fairy Tale FanboyPublished 2 years ago in GeeksMovie Review: 'Being the Ricardos' Aaron Sorkin Makes Lucy Unfunny
The talent of writer-director Aaron Sorkin is undeniable. Sorkin is a man of words, of wit, and caustic observation. I have no intention of diminishing Mr Sorkin’s talent but I have to quarrel with his choice of subjects. While Sorkin’s rat-a-tat banter and scintillating discourse on important issues is usually very welcome when providing a voice to good hearted politicians on The West Wing or when creating a recognizable version of a social media titan like Mark Zuckerberg, under the strict direction of David Fincher, in The Social Network. However, having that same style saddled onto the legend of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnez feels completely out of place.

Trains, Planes, and Automobiles is my favorite holiday movie. My family and I watch it every year for Christmas which is funny because it is a Thanksgiving Day movie. In this article, I will show you several reasons why I stay at home during the holidays. In a way, most of the problems that happened could have been avoided if the characters had more money and kept their mouths shut.

Jasmine AguilarPublished 2 years ago in GeeksGhostbusters: Afterlife - A Movie Review
Who are we going to call about this ghost problem? Hmm, I have an idea. Ghostbusters: Afterlife is a 2021 sequel to Ghostbusters which appeared in theaters in 1984. A single mom and her kids move onto the unkempt farm of her late father. Upon the discovery that they have a secret connection to the original Ghostbusters, evil ghosts soon take over the small town.
Marielle SabbagPublished 2 years ago in GeeksThe K-Pop Dictionary
Like it or not, South Korean entertainment has taken the world by storm. BTS is one of the most popular music groups in the world right now, and it’s something I could easily compare to Beatlemania back in the 1960s. Squid Game became one of the most watched shows on Netflix. Everybody is talking about romantic K-dramas that have similar plots to each other, and yet they all offer aesthetics and gripping soap-opera like storylines that keep people addicted. The reason why South Korean entertainment has gripped so many is because of the gruelling work that goes behind it. If you thought the training in Hollywood was intense, this is something else.
