Alright, let's go! Chop chop! I have some reviews to write, and I'm finishing this one before it gets a wide release!

Here We Go!

The Peanut Butter Falcon is a comedy-drama written and directed by Tyler Nilson and Michael Schwartz. The film stars Shia LaBeouf as a fisherman named Tyler and Zack Gottsagen as a man with Down syndrome named Zak.

The movie follows Zak as he escapes his home to chase his dreams of becoming a professional wrestler, as he meets Tyler along the way and becomes friends with him.

Now, this is a movie that has had a very limited release so far. It's only playing in a handful of theaters here in New York City, so I saw this movie at Lincoln Center because I heard some great stuff about it, and I am happy to say that this is one of the best films of the year.

This is a movie that I can't really imagine anyone hating. I can imagine people disliking certain aspects of it, but I can't really see anyone calling this an awful movie, when, at its core, this is a movie that wants you to feel good. It's the feel-good film of the summer.

Shia LaBeouf has had a pretty crazy career. He went from Holes to Transformers to the shitty Indiana Jones movie to "JUST DO IT!" He's garnered some haters, and made some mistakes over the years, but the man has talent and he showcases it in this movie.

He portrays the character of Tyler so naturally, and the movie shows that not everything Tyler says and does is perfect, but we truly get to care about the bond that he forms with Zak, and how nice he is to him compared to the rest of the world.

The relationship that the two of them share is quite heartwarming, and I love the conversations that they would have. It's a very beautiful friendship that develops very well over the course of the film.

Now, let's talk about Zack Gottsagen, the guy who plays Zak. He actually has Down syndrome, and given that we don't really see any actors with Down syndrome on screen, being able to see such a positive film that represented him so well was something that I had wanted to see for a while.

Gottsagen was really funny in this role, and his character is so lovable, and we really root for him to pursue his dreams of being a wrestler, not just because he has Down syndrome, but because he has a good heart.

I also liked how they gave the two leads a connection. They're both on the run; Tyler is running from rival fishermen and Zak is running from Eleanor, portrayed by Dakota Johnson, so that she doesn't put him back in a retirement home.

Johnson also did a really good job in this role. Because even though she was technically the "antagonist" of the movie, you can tell that she has good intentions, and is just doing this because she thinks it will be best for Zak, and you can see how much she cares for him.

And at its core, this movie is just very fun. It's very charming, it has a lot of heart, and it's never a movie that's hard to watch because of how positive it is. This movie shows how despite the setbacks life may throw your way, you should always do your best to achieve what you want.

The only little issue that I have is that I feel like the ending of this movie could have been a bit better and more emotional, but overall, I thought this movie was really great and it's just a very well-made indie movie that I think people will love.

It's a great movie that's heartwarming and I loved it a lot.

I'm gonna give 'The Peanut Butter Falcon' a 9/10 (A).

Thanks for reading, and I'll have reviews out for Scary Stories and Good Boys out pretty soon.
