My Review of "The Half Of It"
The Half Of It turned out to be a really good movie. I honestly wasn't looking forward to seeing this movie because I thought it would end up as a mere copy of the movie Roxanne (but then Roxanne was a copy of Cyrano de Bergerac). Little did I know there's a huge twist at the end that I saw coming but didn't see coming.

Coming of age movies that center around young adults always intrigue me. They're one of my favorite genres of movies not only because of their unbelievable degree of relatability, but their capacity to tell wonderful stories about the range of emotions people can experience. Teenagers are volatile, for better or worse - they make wild decisions, try so many new things and can be very emotional, and these movies reflect that - be it the incredibly heartfelt journeys seen in movies like The Perks of Being a Wallflower, or the narratives that are intertwined with comedy, such as Superbad or Booksmart.
Arvind PennathurPublished 4 years ago in GeeksMy Review of "I Am Not Okay With This: Season One"
I Am Not Okay With This is a Netflix exclusive TV series that I thought would explore a girl's super powers. I soon found out that this movie is actually more about the main character Syd trying to figure herself out. She has so much angst that it was very difficult to watch this season at times. The thing about this is that the show had to make her this way for the series to work. Once you get to the very end you realize that everything was done pretty intelligently.

Love has many definitions. No matter what, somebody will always love you. The Half of It is a 2020 Netflix film about a high school teenager who is cynical about love. Offered to write a love poem, Ellie opens up about her life befriending Paul. Living in a conservative town is not easy but a lesson about love is learned for the better.

Stephanie Beatriz, I Love You!
I realize that I'm several seasons late to the Brooklyn Nine-Nine party, but forgive me. I only loosely followed the show previously because, quite frankly, I didn't have the time between teaching high school full time and raising two daughters.
Christina St-JeanPublished 4 years ago in GeeksAll day and a night
All day and a night written and directed by Joe Robert Cole was released on Netflix May 1, 2020. My visceral reaction was this story is raw ugly and beautiful. This story under different circumstances has happened many times and is going on right now in real life. While serving a life sentence Jahkor Abraham Lincoln(Ashton Sanders) reflects on his life, family, friends, circumstances and system that lead him towards his crime.
Richie MoonPublished 4 years ago in GeeksMy Review of "Jerry Seinfeld: 24 Hours to Kill"
Jerry Seinfeld: 24 Hours to Kill was kind of a shock because I haven't seen a Jerry Seinfeld comedy special in a long time. I remember loving his comedy back in the day. His jokes were always clean and very observational. Obviously I was curious to see what he would have to say about life today. The comedy now has changed so much, I wasn't sure how well he would do.

Q-ell BettonPublished 4 years ago in GeeksFamily values and a lot of wine.
Okay, so I want to become a master sommelier. Is that like a pirate? No, that’s a Somalian. I don’t have a thing for wine. Never had. Even an excellent wine, recommended by connoisseurs, won’t appeal to me. I never liked the taste of it. Why the hell would I watch a movie that focuses on the world of wines? Well, it’s just a coincidence. I discovered “Uncorked” while browsing Netflix and thought I’d give it a shot. And also because I didn’t make the link between the movie title and the whole wine happening. To be honest, I wasn’t overly enthusiastic about the part about getting a sommelier diploma. The barbecue restaurant storyline, on the other hand, was mouth-watering. And as the film progressed, my hunger pangs intensified. And that didn’t happen since “Chef”.
