Here's to 15 seasons!

Sam and Dean through the years.
Supernatural started in 2005. I was five years old. I didn’t discover it until I was around 14, when Supernatural had already hit its tenth season. I remember buying the first season from a ‘CeX’ shop when I was on a shopping trip with my mum in the summer holidays. I got home, started to watch the first episode by myself, and I had to stop. I found it too scary. I was creeped out. Given, I probably shouldn’t have watched it in the dark, but I put it away and didn’t touch the disk until months after. It took a while, but I finally convinced my dad to watch it with me, and suddenly it wasn’t scary anymore. After that, I kept buying old seasons and me and my dad would binge-watch the seasons together.
It was during that time that I was going through a pretty tough time in my teenage years and watching Supernatural with my dad really got me through. It felt good to lose myself in a world totally unreal and I soon became attached to the characters. Since 2014 I have watched all seasons of Supernatural, more than once. When we found out Supernatural seasons were coming to a British TV channel we watched that was it. Now my whole family watches Supernatural and we’re massive fans. We scream ‘Carry On, My Wayward Son’ during the season finales, we cry and we laugh with the characters, we know everything about the actors and we absolutely love watching it as a family.
I am so grateful that Supernatural exists and it truly got me through my teen years. Whenever I felt down, whenever I couldn’t cope with life, I would rewatch Supernatural. It didn’t matter to me if I had seen it all five times already because it gave me an escape that I had become familiar with. Sam and Dean became apart of my family and they were their whenever I needed. I was quickly pulled into the fandom and I haven’t really left since. I have many Supernatural related t-shirts, even ones supporting the ‘Always Keep Fighting’ movement and I am forever grateful to be apart of a fandom that has such an amazing show and amazing actors that come with it!
So, thank you, Supernatural.
Thank you for having such a scary "Bloody Mary" episode that I got scared when seeing a hung-up towel in the reflection of my bathroom mirror.
Thank you for having such a bad ass car that my dream car is an Impala just like Dean’s.
Thank you for having funny episodes like "French Mistake" and "Wishful Thinking," they’ve made me smile when I’m sad.
Thank you for having Christmas and Halloween episodes, I watch them every year.
Thank you for having sad deaths, they’re always so good and they always make me cry, no doubt about it.
Thank you for having character developments that we love.
Thank you for having such a good pilot episode.
Thank you for having 15 seasons, we’re a lucky fandom.
Thank you to Jensen, Jared, and Misha. J2M have saved many peoples lives and the actors, and their characters, mean more to us than they’ll ever know. We’re a fandom truly grateful for our cast and I hope they know how amazing they are, and I hope they are aware of how many lives they have changed in the last (nearly) 15 years. It won’t be the same when it’s over, and I know the finale is going to make me cry like nothing else ever has and I am not ready for it.
Thank you, Supernatural.
